Barnes County Auditor’s Staff Are “Election Heroes”

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Working in a county auditor’s office during election season can be challenging and even sometimes nerve-wracking.  To honor the conscientious Barnes County Auditor’s staff on National Election Heroes Day October 20, local members of the League of Women Voters (LWV) delivered home-baked goodies and in-person thanks. “We want to send a clear message that we support our friends and neighbors who play a vital role in preserving our democracy. They are our election heroes!” the League volunteers said. Thanks to our honest, dedicated election and poll workers, our elections are free, accessible to all, and secure, they added. LWV is a nonpartisan voting rights organization dedicated to empowering voters and working with elections officials nationwide to ensure all voters can be heard through the ballot box.
